 [New To The Town]

The whole day had been a blur for the newcomer, Zoey, for everything went so unexpectedly fast. At first the fae felt like it was because she had just arrived and was still getting the hang of things, like where to find the best food or where the best sleeping paces were. But gradually as the day went on, her feelings changed and it felt as though her limbs were too weak to carry her placid body. The able pads had taken her so far, but she had done too much traveling and it was a certain time for rest so the fae gathered her last strength and heaved to the eerie graveyard. From the outside it looked good and comfortable, but doubts reached her mind suddenly when she cautiously jumped over the snow covered wall and into the depths of shadows, where the demons ran amock. Shiver shot down her spine and she winced as her hips faltered from the burning sensation. Such strain was not good for the fae so she dragged herself towards a large and over towering gravestone. The writing that was so carefully carved onto the stone block was unknown to Zoey, but it read anyhow:
Lisa Camper
Born: 24th April 2000
Died: 11th December 2002
A beloved daughter who laughed none stop.
R.I.P

Such distant memories cut the fae's panting short as she began to claim visions of the past. They came back to haunt her, but her strong willed mind wouldn't open the locked gate for them, so Zoey scanned the darkness with her beady orbs. Nothing seemed to be out of place and no out of the ordinary scents traveled past, only perhaps the stench of rabbits from deep down within their burrows. Reclining to her haunches in a practiced motion, Zoey sat back and began her steady pant once again, whilst waiting for any signs of friendship that might be lurking by.

It's the most wonderful time of the year!
With the kids jinglebelling
Anbd everyone telling you be of good cheer!
It's the most wonderful time of the year!

As Badelle walked through the outskirts of the town, the carolers voices blazed through her head and she coudln't agree with them more. Winter was the best season of all. Mainly because of her breed. She was built to withstand firgid temperatures in the Arctic, so she had always loved the cold temperatures of Chicago during the winter. As she wandered farther away from the caroler, their tune was stil playing in her head. It was surprising that humans were capable of making such agreeable lyrics. More than surprising, astounding really. She had always been under the impression that humans hated winter, due to their lack of sufficient pelts. Apparently, at least a few of them liked it! It was a rather odd thought.

When the carolers voices were cmpletely nonexistant and their lyrics had faded, even in her own mind, Badelle gazed around and found herself in front of the cemetary. Her slim shoulders shrugged as she gazed up at the sky. She had no intention of staying out in the open for the night, especially with the clouds looking as ominous as they did, and it was getting late. She quickly found the large iron gates and entered through them. Her saphire orbs gazed around, missing the other body that lay in the shadows under another grave a ways off. Finding no one there, she made her way towards a large, sprawling oak tree near the center of the graveyard, dodging around gravestones as she went. Reaching the base of the tree, she lay her bod beneath it and gazed out into the darkening sky, wondering if she would meet any other canines tonight.

The fae was daydreaming when the oblivious Husky entered through the rusty iron gates. Sudden padding sounds caught the fae's attention and she raised her lips to show her lethal teeth in a silent snarl. Her dark orbs searched for the path of the other fae and Zoey raised herself from the ground cautiously. The protective snarl turned into a sly smug look upon her tinged grey snout and Zoey left the shadows of the gravestone and stepped into the moonlight. The delicate orbs glowed from the sudden light and the Shiloh Shepherd padded forwards with little comfort. This was to be her first meeting with a dog from in this city, a proper one anyway and the fae wanted it to be good, if the Husky seemed worthy of her friendship anyway. He heavy pads hit the slushy ground and bits were raised because of her speed. Only shadows entered under the old Oak tree where the fae gazed, but Zoey wanted to make herself know. Medium tones escaped out of her snout and they called towards the fae.
Who be you who pads on this cemetery so alone, oblivious and vulnerable? Surely it has come to you that evil lurks around the shadowy corners..Or perhaps you feel you are strong enough to fight the temptation.
When her lyrics had completely entered the air, Zoey stepped forward so she could be seen by the fae and stared upon her mass with no emotion showing upon her multi-toned head. The silent orbs scanned her posture and the varied colors of fur. She seemed able and strong, but perhaps not that intelligent.

Her snout rested on her fore paws, Badelle had just been about to fall into that wonderful land of slumber when the scent of another canine invaded her nostrils. Lids flicked open and dial picked itself up in time to see a sheperd fae approach her. Spotting the bared teeth, Badelle's stalks quikly bent and picked her bodice up. Stading, she was about the same height as the fae, and not wishing to meet her under the heavy shadows of the sprawling tree, her paws advanced her form forwards until she too was situated in the moonlight. Observing the fae in the light, Badelle now saw she no longer looked threatening, just smug. Why? Did she think Badelle weak? Just because she hadn't spotted her? At the fae's words, Badelle's mask remained expressionless. She'd been tired after her day of exploring the city and hadn't thought of the dangers that might be lurking in the darkening cemetary. Her sweet tones cut through the dark of the night as she replied.

"I be Badelle, and who be you to question me so when you don't own this place? I be alone because I am new to the city, I be oblivious because I am tired, and I was not aware that I was vulnerable."

In reply to the fae's tones, Zoey drew a warm smile upon her grey snout and tilted her head in comfort. The answer was perfect to her question. Reclining to her haunches, the Shiloh Shepherd peered onwards at the Husky named Badelle and lost her mug look to the kind heart inside. It seemed she had offended her, when really all she wanted to know if this fae was intelligent enough to survive. For some dumb dogs, it was all a test of strength and power. A game of how many helpless souls they can kill and their evil minds driving them onwards. Zoey personally thought that they brought shame onto dogs. Life was not made to take other lives. But enough thought had gone into that subject, for it was one that troubled her the most. Instead, Zoey thought it wise to reply to the Husky's lyrics with her own.
Badelle..It seems suiting, although I know not what it means. You seem to be right, I own not this place and it was not my intention to lead you to those thoughts. It be we have a lot in common, for I to am new, just getting a grip of things and me too am tired and ready for a nights sleep. If only that was so. In many cities before this one, danger was hiding in every corner where the light durst not shine, so in my opinion it would be unwise to sleep. But there is little I know of this terra, so perhaps it would be safe. Depending on what sort of dogs lay ahead or behind. Vulnerable? No, a fae like you needs to be strong and hardy for the brute should not be allowed to take over when we are just as able. It looks as if I have to apologize for my rude awakening. Please, rest on for many a nights have I stayed up in protection for friends and my tiredness seems foolish towards yours.
Such long tones escaped and shattered the fae, but she would keep her promise of protection. Often times before, the fae had been willing to save another's life and give them hers. But good had always won over the evil so it was not necessary for it to happen. Causing her orbs to stray over towards the lighted streets, the fae could see no danger, nor smell so she cast her senses towards the blinking Husky and waited for a reply, if their was to be one.

± damn it!! SO sorry Elleh...I've been way busy, and museless ±

Badelle's crystal clear pools gazed over at the shepard femme, awaiting her reply to her own short rebuff. This bitch certainly had no right to coma about questioning her when it was obvious this was a free place, where any could roam. As a soft smile broke over the femme's mask, her form relaxed a bit but was wrought with confusion. This femme who had had such sharp words a moment before was nbow smiling? And showing that a kind heart lay beneath? Hpwever, at the femme's lyrics, Badelle's confusion cleared and she understood. However, her understanding did not show on her face, it remained as blank and cool as before as she listened to the shepard's long speech. As she explained herself, Badelle's face softened, and then turned back to the kind expression that usually was placed on her mask. As she finished, the huskin's dial dipped towards the Shiloh in a nod, and her lyrics rang out the old sweet ones, not the cool, almost icy ones they had been earlier.

"I understand, and I am glad to have found someone as knew to this city as I, myself am. Your apology is fully accepted, with just one query: What is your name?"

The sudden change of tones comforted the femmora and reasured the fact that her apology had been accepted as she hastened to listen to the calm words of Badelle. A small smile drew itself upon her maw as Zoey gazed down. Her name? Such a question was common and the fae replied sweetly, releasing her fluent tones.
My name? 'Tis Zoey. It's a pleasure to meet you Badelle.
A shift of her paws made her confidence increase but still, they sat in uncomfortable silence as Zoey waited for Badelle to reply. Her eyes were beginning to gain weight and were drooping low, but sleep was not welcome yet, epecially since she had made to vow to watch over the sleeping husky during the night.

OCC: ARGG! Such a bad post :/ Sorry lovie x
